Pokémon Prism is a Pokémon Crystal ROM-Hack (formerly a Pokémon Gold ROM-Hack), created by Koolboyman.
The plot takes place in the Naljo region. The game is a sequel to Pokémon Brown, so the player can travel to Rijon for a second mission. The Pokédex has 253 Pokémon, including some from each of the first four generations, as well as new elemental types and TMs. The game includes new minigames and plot points in which the player controls a Pokémon. The Twitch Plays Pokémon development team also contributed to the development of the game with lead developer Koolboyman as the project manager.
On December 21, 2016, Nintendo issued a cease and desist order that terminated the development of the game. However, an anonymous 4chan user leaked version 0.91 (build 0144) of the game. The leaked build is from December 19, 2016.
The current leaked version is fully functional but is missing certain things from what the finished version of the game would have been, such as outdated sprites, missing activation events for trainers, and a post-game mission from Lance that was supposed to have been released. . in an official future version of the game. Version 0.94 is released, which fixes most of the bugs in the leaked version. Versions 0.92, 0.93, and 0.94 were developed by RainbowDevs, which is the new Pokémon Prism, development team.
