Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being. The health of all organisms depends on the surrounds of their environments, therefore the social environment is an important factor in our individual health. In 2012, the World Health Organization implemented a new health policy framework in Europe, which is called Health 2020. It was targeting to achieve universal, equitable, sustainable and of high-quality health for everyone. Better health means a better physical state of a person, that leads to a better mind and mentality, which results in a better environment and a society to live in. The actual problem corresponding to this is how to achieve and maintain a healthier state. This desired objective could be acquired by the means of mainly a balanced dieting and regular physical exercises.

According to the Oxford dictionaries, a diet is “the kinds of food that a person, animal, or community habitually eats”. Its translation via Latin from Greek means ‘a way of life’. In addition to that, the word “diet” can be also defined as a specific course of food prescribed for a human or an animal for a special cause, either to lose weight or medical reasons. There are a lot of types of diets, almost hundreds of them. Examples could be vegan, fruitarian, plant-based, Dukan, cabbage soup, cookie, juice fasting, clean eating diets and so forth. They all work with different principals, but mainly recommend cutting out certain foods, such as meat, fish or wheat products. Despite that, there are also some diet types that ensure you lose enough weight but you still eat many high-calorie products that are considered not healthy, such as ice-cream, hot-dogs, fried foods, to be in your overall diet. Subsequently, cutting out or even introducing many food groups together could prevent one from getting essential vitamins and nutrients, or result in many other negative changes in a body. Meanwhile, there are hundreds of people who tried and lost a significant amount of weight and got in a perfect state of health. Considering all of these points, what is the best diet for a human considering both the calorie changes in the body and the process of energy production through food burning?
