India is a country that is a mixture of all classes, castes, and ethnicities. It is an amalgamation of cultures and people. The constitution and government are designed to keep this secular fabric in place. And both the central and state government is responsible to help resolve the various issues of the nation. It is responsible for uplifting the poor, narrow the income disparity and ensure that everyone gets the same opportunities and basic facilities. This would include a sturdy shelter, clean water, food, electricity, education and other amenities required for basic survival. Here are some of the policies.

    Sarkari Yojana

The Sarkari Yojana is a recently developed government scheme that aims at helping the lower strata of society get proper housing, education, and care facilities. The policy is applicable to everyone below the poverty level or holding a BPL card. It doesn’t discriminate on the basis of religion, region or any other factor. Everyone who is below the poverty line is applicable to this.

    Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana in Hindi

The Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana in Hindi by the government especially aims at the betterment of the girl child. In a country like India, there are still many areas where the girl child is said to be a burden. Parents from rural areas are not aware or educated enough themselves. This intensely patriarchal setup discourages the education and upliftment of the female. This policy aims to change that. The other government policy, namely Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Hindi is also designed to help people become more financially empowered.

The government policies are developed and passed to take care of its people and ensure their health and happiness. In a country as diverse and varied as India, the implementation of these policies need to be monitored even closely.
