About The Author of The Book Yasmin Mogahed

Yasmin Mogahed is a Muslim woman living in the United States. She is a specialist in spirituality, psychology, and personal development. She completed her B.S. in psychology at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She also completed a master’s degree in journalism and mass communication from the same university. She writes for HuffPost and previously wrote for InFocus News. She is the first Muslim woman to become an instructor at the AlMaghrib Institute. She had previously been an instructor at Cardinal Stritch University. She is known internationally for her motivational lectures.

Yasmin Mogahed received her B.S. Degree in Psychology and her Masters in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After completing her graduate work, she taught Islamic Studies and worked as a writing instructor for Cardinal Stritch University and a staff columnist for the Islam section of InFocus News. Currently, she’s a freelance writer and international speaker. She also hosts Serenity, her show on One Legacy Radio.
