How To Check Iqama Expiry Date
Keeping track of your iqama expiration date in Saudi Arabia may seem complicated. But do not worry! We will simplify it for you. There are several ways to check the expiration date of your Iqama online. The methods include platforms such as the MoL (Ministry of Labour) KSA website, Absher portal, and others. We will show you how to use these platforms to check your iqama expiration date without any hassle. Choose your preferred method and follow the steps thoroughly.
1. Check Iqama Expiry Date using MOL KSA (Without Absher)
In this method, using the KSA (Ministry of Labor of Saudi Arabia) mol portal, you can easily check the expiration date of iqama. This method does not require an Absher account. Also, it displays the date in both Hijri and Gregorian formats. Follow these steps:
- Open the Ministry of Labor portal using the link provided. MOL KSA Portal.
- Now enter your full name as it is written in iqama and the date of birth. Then enter a 6-digit captcha code and click “Next”
- The new window will display your full details, including the English iqama expiration date and Hijri dates.
2. Check Iqama Expiry Date (Absher website)
Another method to check if your iqama is still valid is to use the Absher website. These are the simple steps you can follow:
Step 1: Go to the Absher Website and tap on “Individuals”
Step 2: If you are not familiar with Arabic, select “English” located in the upper left corner. Enter your username or Iqama number, password, and image code.
Step 3: You will receive a 4-digit verification code on your mobile, enter it
Step 4: After a successful verification, scroll down. You will find the option, Query Iqama Expiry Service. Tap/click on it
Last step: Enter iqama number and image code then click/tap on View.
You will find the expiration date of iqama. If the date is green, it means that your iqama/resident ID is valid, active, and not expired.
The red color of the iqama validity date means that the Saudi iqama has expired and should be renewed as soon as possible. Additionally, Moi Jawazat charges fines and penalties for late renewal. Therefore, to avoid penalties, it is better to renew it before the expiration date.
3. Check Iqama Expiry Date (Absher App)
Another method to check if your iqama is still valid is to use the Absher App. If you want to check your Iqama expiration date in a more convenient way, you can download the Absher app. One of the benefits of using the app is that you can find the date in the English calendar dates. That is why it is a new and unique method. To do it These are the simple steps you can follow:
Step 1: Download and log in to the Absher application by entering the credentials (Username-Password-OTP)
Step 2: Once you have successfully logged in, go to “DASHBOARD” and tap on the “Timeline” tab
Step 3: A timeline has many details. It shows the validity dates of iqama, passport, and driver’s license. You will see the first tab, “ME AND FAMILY”. In this tab, the first information is about the expiration of iqama. You can also switch between the Gregorian (English) and Hijri dates by tapping the appropriate tab.
However, it is a bit tricky to convert Hijri dates to Gregorian dates. However, Absher App has provided such a service. Also, this is the only method that shows the status of iqama on Gregorian dates.
You may encounter problems when accessing the Absher portal from outside the KSA. If you’ve experienced it, ask a friend or family member who lives in Saudi Arabia for help. Another option to access the portal is through a VPN. But keep in mind that the use of VPN is illegal in the kingdom.
