GTA 5 is an action-adventure game developed by Rockstar. It is the seventh main entry in the Grand Theft Auto series. Set in the fictional state of San Andreas, based on Southern California, the single-player story follows three protagonists: retired bank robber Michael De Santa (Ned Luke), street gangster Franklin Clinton (Shawn Fonteno), and the drug dealer and arms dealer Trevor Philips. (Steven Ogg), and his attempts to commit heists under pressure from a corrupt government agency and powerful criminals. Players freely roam the open world of San Andreas and the fictional city of Los Santos, based in Los Angeles.

Gameplay
Most of the missions revolve around social themes and feature large-scale heists. Players must prepare extensively before undertaking these missions, including selecting targets, planning, hiring accomplices, gathering equipment, and then executing the heist. However, there are consequences and players can be pursued by law enforcement, leading to arrests and imprisonment. Players must also manage their characters’ needs, such as food, to prevent them from dying.
The game’s legal system is simple, with police AI always present to respond to criminal activities. This AI will relentlessly pursue criminals. The only way to get rich quickly is through illegal activities, but all illegal actions have a price. Players can also fight back by acquiring various weapons in the game using the money they earn.
