The Words of The Font Designer
For those of you who saw the Pretendo (Nintendo) Font spread throughout the web, just to note that I actually created it, and was my very first font too. During the time, I used mostly Font Creator Program for it and some of an older version for Fontlab too. But sadly, it looked nothing like what the Nintendo looked like, but I posted it anyways. Now, now that I have Illustrator and have good skills apon it, I was able to remake the font to look a little bit better than the first version. Enjoy this new font.
Pretendo font contains 251 defined characters and 53 unique glyphs. The font contains characters from the following Unicode character ranges: Basic Latin (93), Latin-1 Supplement (96), Latin Extended-A (10), Latin Extended-B (1), Spacing Modifier Letters (9), Greek and Coptic (4), General Punctuation (17), Letterlike Symbols (2), Mathematical Operators (14), Geometric Shapes (1), Private Use Area (3).
Nintendo is a Japanese video game and consumer electronics company founded in 1889. It is known for creating some of the most popular video game franchises, such as Mario, The Legend of Zelda, and Pokémon.
The Nintendo logo, which dates back to the 1980s, features the Nintendo logo in capsule form. The original color was red, but the gray color was adopted in 2006. The letters in the logo are very similar to a font called Pretendo and you can download the font for free here.
