Punk 57 Book by Penelope Douglas is the story of Ryen and Misha, two friends who mistakenly bonded as pen pals as children. And since then they had been inseparable, sending each other letters and telling each other everything even though they had never seen each other. Until a tragic accident occurs and Misha suddenly becomes unresponsive. But when a new boy, Masen, arrives at Ryen’s school, she can no longer present a perfect image of herself to the public, because he goes to great lengths to torment and embarrass her. Only Ryen doesn’t know that Masen is actually Misha.

Punk 57 Summary
We were perfect together. Until we met. this is a sentence that best describes this book. Because Ryen isn’t as humble as she had portrayed in her letters, she is actually everything she told him she despises: popular and basically a bitch. And Misha feels that she never knew her at all. I love how the main character is one of the popular ones in school because, in most bully romances, the main female character is usually an introvert. But the fact that she acts like someone she’s not just so she’s not alone and an outcast is really sad, but I know a lot of young girls feel that way too.
